Castle Montessori makes TV news
Staff Reports
“Close-Up TV News” recognizes Castle Montessori Schools for its successful and progressive approach to education. Castle is planning a Frisco school opening in fall 2010 and currently operates a location just west of Custer Road at 6151 Virginia Parkway, McKinney.
Castle Montessori schools will be featured on *Close-Up on America's Business* segment airing in the first quarter of 2010 on major news networks.
According to the press announcement, the experience and care of teachers combined with the effectiveness of the school's administration determine the quality of education a school can provide. Unfortunately, as economic concerns have begun to dictate educational decisions, many schools fall short of the high standards to which they ought to be held and the people who truly suffer are the children themselves.
"We wanted to create the perfect balance between the parents' needs, the staff's needs, and most importantly, the children's developmental needs," says Varsha Patel. "Nurturing and educating children, inspiring them and creating an environment that builds self-esteem are our passions."
Since 2007, Castle Montessori has opened a new school annually in Carrollton, Flower Mound, and McKinney. Despite the current economic downturn, the schools continue to thrive with their newest location in Frisco, scheduled to open in the fall of 2010.
"The growth of Castle Montessori schools has resulted primarily from the child-centric focus of our educators and administration in everything we do in our schools," says Vikas Patel. "Each child is at the heart of our business model. We actually listen to the parents we serve and only employ educators who are passionate and committed to providing the very best education for each child."
The Montessori teaching method is a child-centered educational method based on the life work of educator Dr. Maria Montessori. This method is characterized by emphasizing self-directed activity on the part of the child and clinical observation on the part of the teacher. Students learn about leadership and time management as early as age three and most leave Castle Montessori schools above their grade level.
As such, the quality of the teaching staff is one of the highest priorities. Castle Montessori teachers go through a rigorous screening process to see if they can do the job in a compassionate and nurturing manner. Lead teachers at all Castle Montessori schools are required to have their certifications from either the American Montessori Society (AMS), Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) or a training center accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education Commission (MACTE). These certifications ensure they have undergone a rigorous Montessori training
program and met internship requirements.
"The quality of the people, the staffing, management's attention to detail, these things always make the difference," says Varsha Patel. "Most schools do not cater to the expectations of the parents. I want parents to rest assured our staff will take care of their children just as they would."
