Flower Mound resident Ethan Dugan-Smith has earned his Eagle Scout award.

Dugan-Smith’s Eagle project was to construct a sign for Reata Rehabilitation, designed to improve business for the organization. He spent more than 100 hours planning, executing and leading this project.  The sign was constructed from a 4X8 sheet of plywood, paint, and hand-cut letters.

Dugan-Smith also earned another significant accomplishment recently when he was recognized by the Catholic Bishop of the Fort Worth Diocese for having earned all four of the BSA Catholic Religious Emblems. He earned the first two while in Cub Scouts: the Light of Christ and the Parvuli Dei.

Two others were earned in Boy Scouts: the Ad Altare Dei (or "To the Alter of God") and the Pope Pius XII. For earning all four emblems, Dugan-Smith received the Chi Rio patch.

Dugan-Smith has held several positions within Troop 1225, including Senior Patrol Leader.  He is a junior at Flower Mound High School and the son of Eric Smith and Erin Dugan.
