Gas line break causes closures on Dallas Parkway (Update)
By Elizabeth Knighten, eknighten@starlocalnews.com
The southbound lanes of the Dallas Parkway have reopened after a nearby construction crew broke a natural gas line.
According to a release issued by the city of Frisco, "A construction crew doing work in the area inadvertently bored into the gas line at approximately 1:30 p.m."
CoServ repair crews were at the scene, the release said, as well as Frisco Firefighters, who were monitoring gas levels.
While the release said that the repair crews were able to stop the gas break, several southbound lanes of the Dallas Parkway will remain closed as "utility crews repair the line."
