The Coppell City Council Tuesday night recognized the Coppell Rotary Club for 30 years of service to the community and unanimously approved a proclamation by the mayor to designate June 23 as Coppell Rotary Club.

Metrocrest Social Services, Senior Adult Services to merge
After nearly a year spent analyzing the feasibility of joining efforts to provide aid and support services to area residents, Tracy Eubanks, chief executive officer of Metrocrest Social Services, and Mary Joiner, executive director of Senior Adult Services, have announced a merger between the two local nonprofit agencies. The plan to combine the organizations was approved by the boards of directors of each agency in separate meetings Wednesday.

Coppell High School band members played Pomp and Circumstance as 670 CHS seniors marched into the University of North Texas coliseum Thursday afternoon for commencement ceremonies and to receive their diplomas.
